Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Calle Bélgica, I wasn’t expecting much. The street’s pretty quiet, tucked away from the main tourist drag in Tabaiba, but that actually turned out to be the best part. This apartamento is literally steps from the beach, and I mean literally – you can hear the waves from the balcony, which is something you don’t get with those big resort hotels further inland.

The place itself has that lived-in comfort that you just can’t fake. It’s got four stars, sure, but what really matters is that everything works and the space feels bigger than most hotel rooms you’d get for the price. The kitchen’s actually functional (rare in vacation rentals, trust me), and there’s enough counter space to make proper breakfast if you grab groceries from the Mercadona down the road. The Wi-Fi was solid throughout my stay – important if you’re trying to work remotely or just want to stream something after a beach day. What really sold me was the terrace situation. You can sit out there in the morning with coffee and watch the locals heading to work while you’re… well, not. The 8.9 rating makes sense once you settle in for a few days.

Tabaiba isn’t Playa de las Américas or Los Cristianos – it’s quieter, more residential, which means you’ll actually meet some Canarios instead of just other tourists. The beach here is rockier than the southern beaches, but honestly? The water’s clearer and it’s never crowded. There’s a decent little chiringuito (beach bar) about a five-minute walk where they do proper fish and the beer’s cold. Parking was surprisingly easy – there’s usually space along the residential streets, though weekends can get a bit tighter when the locals come down for beach time. The apartment’s in a residential building, so it’s quiet at night, but you’re still close enough to Santa Cruz if you want city nightlife. Actually, the drive into the capital is only about fifteen minutes, and the bus connections are pretty good if you don’t want to deal with rental car hassles. Just don’t expect luxury resort amenities – this is more like borrowing a local friend’s place, complete with the occasional sound of neighbors and real neighborhood rhythms. But that’s exactly why it works.

  The apartment is very beautiful with very cool view on the ocean. I found it exactly how it looks like in the photos and it was very clean. The host left me some drinks in the fridge and some snacks as starter. The area of Tabaiba is very calm up on a hill so better to have a car if you want to visit the rest of the island. Down the stairs you are directly on the ocean and you can get in the water from different spots. Diving center are there highly suggested. A couple of supermarket and restaurant in the near.
  If you want to rent the apartment for remote working, this is excellent, wifi is super fast, over 100/mbits so perfect if you need to download. The

  The location is pretty amazing, high on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Really scenic. And the apartment was great with an oven, microwave/convection oven, washer and one bedroom.

  The apartment is spacious, renovated, and good-looking. The sea view is amazing, and right downstairs is a little beach or natural swimming pool. There were nice details such as a beach towel, toothbrushes, or sponges, coffee, and tea.

  El primer día no tenía agua corriente y, al comunicarlo a la chica, al segundo ya me estaba explicando que había sido el ayuntamiento. Se preocupa de que todo esté muy bien para los que nos hospedamos.

  El apartamento es muy amplio y cómodo. Está nuevo y tiene un vestidor estupendo. Las vistas desde el balcón son muy bonitas y agradables. No pude disfrutarlo mucho, ya que viajaba por trabajo y solo acudí para dormir, pero está muy bien para pasar unas vacaciones en pareja, porque aunque es de solo una habitación, es amplio y despejado. el baño es enorme.

  Der Balkon hat uns besonders gefallen, sowie das Schlafzimmer und der begehbare Kleiderschrank. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin hat im Großen und Ganzen auch gut funktioniert, sie hat alle unsere Fragen sehr schnell beantwortet.
