But this place on Avenida de la Galga actually surprised me in the best way possible. You know how sometimes you book somewhere and it’s exactly what you expected? Well, this was better than that.

The apartment sits right in the heart of Callao Salvaje, which – if you haven’t been to this part of Tenerife – is sort of like finding a sweet spot between touristy chaos and local authenticity. I mean, you’re literally steps from Callao Beach, but it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in some overdeveloped resort strip. The building itself is solid, modern without being sterile, and honestly the soundproofing is pretty decent (something I always worry about in apartment rentals). What really got me was the space – and I don’t just mean square footage. The layout actually makes sense, you know? Like someone who lives in apartments designed it, not someone who just throws furniture at a floor plan. The kitchen has counter space where you can actually prep food, the living area doesn’t feel cramped even when you’ve got beach gear scattered around, and the bedroom… well, let’s just say the bed is comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with a brick.

But here’s what you really want to know – the location is killer without being obvious about it. You’re about a three-minute walk to the beach, which sounds standard until you realize that this particular stretch of coastline is where locals actually go, not just tourists following guidebooks. There’s this little café around the corner that serves proper Spanish coffee (not the watered-down stuff), and if you walk maybe five minutes toward the water, you’ll find some of the best sunset viewing spots on the island. The 8.9 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but everything works the way it should. Check-in was straightforward, the WiFi actually handles video calls, and there’s parking nearby that doesn’t require a engineering degree to navigate. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you want to experience Tenerife like someone who lives here rather than just passes through.

  The location is amazing, you have have a beach a few minutes walk away, bus stop just down the hill, supermarket nearby and great restaurants just past the bus stop. Given the location comes with a pool you have more than you need even if you don't plan on sight seeing too much. We are very active and were happy to see that certain tours offered pick locations just beside the apartment complex. The place itself is amazing, it provides all the utilities you need and then some(was very happy to see cooking oil and spices, coffee makers and coffee available). Feels very homey even though it's modern design. Spacious bathroom, cozy terrace. Overall awesome stay, me and my other half were more than satisfied.

  The property is located just up the hill from the main restaurants/shops/beach.

  Excellent location. The apartment was very spacious and clean the kitchen and bathroom especially. Huge TV with excellent access to online services – eg Netflix. Lovely pool area.

  Great clean apartment. The pool area is lovely with plenty of comfortable sunbeds. In the kitchen there is a new big fridge freezer and the oven is perfectly clean. Easy parking out on the road. Supermarkets within walking distance. Nice places to eat in town.
  The beach area is nice with nice coastal walk to next resort too.

  Nice, cosy apartment with everything you need for a holiday in the south of Tenerife. Free parking in front of the apartment. The host was on the spot after sending a message from the airport with the time of arrival. The apartment was clean. A large balcony with two seats, living room with TV (Google Chromecast) and wifi internet (good speed!). Two bedrooms, one with TV. Large bathroom with a nice rain shower. The kitchen was fully equipped and the washing machine was handy to have. Pool is not large but good for a splash or sunbathing (plenty of sun loungers).
