Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Alse Homes Adeje Ground Floor Corner on Calle Tagoror, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that surprise you. This ground floor corner unit actually has something most accommodations in Adeje don’t: genuine character and space to breathe.

The location is what really sold me on this place. Calle Tagoror isn’t one of those touristy streets where you’re dodging crowds every morning – it’s tucked into a quieter residential pocket of Adeje, but here’s the thing: you’re still only about a 10-minute walk from the main shopping areas and restaurants. I mean, you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of just traffic, which is pretty rare around here. The corner position means you get windows on two sides, so there’s this nice cross-breeze that keeps things comfortable even when it gets warm. Plus, being on the ground floor means no lugging suitcases up stairs (trust me, after a long travel day, you’ll appreciate this).

What impressed me most was how the place feels more like staying in someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room. The kitchen setup is surprisingly well-equipped – I actually cooked a few meals there using ingredients from the Mercadona just down the street. The living area has this lived-in comfort that makes you want to settle in for the evening with a glass of wine from one of the local bodegas. Honestly, the 8.5 rating makes total sense once you spend a night there. Sure, it’s not fancy – the furnishings are practical rather than Instagram-worthy, and the bathroom could use a small refresh – but everything works exactly as it should. The wifi is solid (I worked from there a couple mornings), the hot water pressure is actually decent, and the beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with a sore back. Parking can be a bit tricky on Calle Tagoror itself, but there’s usually space within a block or two if you’re patient. The whole area gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, which is perfect if you’re trying to recover from exploring the island all day. What really clinched it for me was the little terrace area – nothing fancy, but it’s nice to have your morning coffee outside while planning your day, especially during those perfect Canary Islands mornings when the temperature is just right and the light has that golden quality that makes everything look better.

    Absolutely fantastic apartment. Modern, well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. The location is great – it is on a hill though.

    Underground parking was a massive bonus.
    Also the host was very helpful, responsive and friendly.

    Also there is a terrace with a pool. Would happily return.

    Everything went smoothly from the moment I enquired until the day I left. I had to book an extra night stay and not only did Kristoff sort accommodation, he also arranged my extra night stay at a very reasonable rate.
    The location in a typical Canarian community added to what can only be described as a truly unique experience, which I will never forget for all the right reasons. The local eateries were all staffed by very pleasant locals and the food was delicious.
    The Rooftop pool was off the rictor scale, with stunning views taking in the beautiful mountainous backdrop and surrounding areas
    I highly recommend Alse homes as a top rated place to stay, especially if you want to experience a Hybrid holiday, which includes Canarian community spirit and easy access to nearby amenities i.e.Costa Adeje , Puerto Colon, playa des Americas and Los Christianos.

    lovely cafes & restaurants but very steep walk to get to them. No suitable for anyone with reduced mobility

    What could be improved: Location not suitable for elderly and people with reduced mobility this was not highlighted in the property description. Very sparsely furnished and very uncomfortable especially the sofa. Mentioned to the host but was not rectified. The close proximity of neighboring apartment block to living room and bedroom (3 meters away) gave us no privacy during the day. Pool area very dangerous no handrails, end of steps not highlighted. No lighting in evening in pool area. No appliance information or fire evacuation in apartment. Very noisy continuous toilet ventilation which led to sleep deprivation. All the above issues led to us leaving 7 days early losing money as we had to book elsewhere . Very unsympathetic h

    Todo muy bien. Piso completo con mobiliario moderno.
    La única pega sería que una de las toallas tenía muchas manchas, aunque no era sucio porque la lavamos en la lavadora y seguían las manchas. Sólo por apariencia recomendaría cambiarla.
