When I first pulled up to Alquilaencanarias Tagoro Paradise on Calle Ulises, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect – the name’s a bit of a mouthful, and Costa Del Silencio isn’t exactly where most tourists end up. But that’s actually what makes this place special. It’s tucked away in this quiet residential area called Tagoro Park, and I mean *quiet* – the name Costa Del Silencio literally translates to “Coast of Silence,” which should give you a hint about the vibe here.

The hotel itself sits in what feels like a proper neighborhood rather than some tourist bubble. You’ll find yourself walking past local Spanish families on their evening strolls, and there’s this authentic feel you just don’t get in the main resort areas up the coast. The 4-star rating is spot-on – it’s comfortable without being flashy, and the 8.6 rating makes sense once you settle in. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day (which, let’s be honest, doesn’t happen everywhere), and they’ve got this laid-back efficiency that works really well. Check-in was smooth, parking’s not a nightmare like it can be in some parts of Tenerife, and the whole place has this relaxed energy that matches the area perfectly.

What really sold me on this place was how it connects to the real Tenerife. You’re close enough to the southern airport that transfers aren’t a headache, but far enough from the chaos of Playa de las Américas that you can actually hear yourself think. The volcanic coastline here is pretty dramatic – all black rocks and crashing waves – and it’s perfect for those early morning walks before the day gets too warm. Honestly, if you’re the type who gets antsy staying in typical resort bubbles, this spot hits differently. The local bars and restaurants in the area serve proper Canarian food (not just tourist versions), and you’ll find yourself chatting with locals who are genuinely curious about where you’re from. Sure, it’s not beachfront, but the rugged coastline is actually more interesting than another strip of imported sand. The whole Tagoro Park area feels like a secret that most visitors never discover – which, depending on your personality, is either perfect or completely wrong for your vacation style.

  The first thing I noticed when walking in was how exceptionally clean the apartment was. It had everything we needed and then some. The hosts were very communicative and checked in halfway. The TV had Netflix for the evenings we chose to stay in, and the pool was always quiet (although very cold!). If you’re looking for something away from the noise and partying, this is the place! There is also a nice seafood restaurant nearby (ocean vibes) with reasonably priced food. Overall we felt really comfortable and were able to just relax!
  
  What could be improved: Parking can be a little difficult if you’ve hired a car, although we were always lucky to find a space. It does seem to be an issue island wide though, which is understandable when space is a premium.

  We enjoyed our stay at the apartment. The location was perfect for us, and the apartment itself was spacious and immaculately clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable.
  One of the highlights for us was the pool area, which was not only well-maintained but also remarkably peaceful, making sunbathing a truly relaxing experience. Perhaps it was the time of year, but we appreciated the tranquil atmosphere.
  
  Having a bus stop right outside the complex was incredibly convenient. We took advantage of this and found the journey to Los Cristianos, at just 1.50 euros, to be efficient and took 45 mins The return journey was equally smooth, though it's important to note to board the bus at stand 10 for the return trip. On one occasion, we opted for a taxi back, which cost us 22 euros. Also attached to the complex is a shop open from 8am to 10pm.
  
  A highlight of our trip was visiting the bar terrace at West Haven Hotel. Following the signs for the restaurant snack bar, especially during sunset, was a truly breath taking experience. The steak was among the best we've ever had, and the service from the staff was impeccable which encouraged us to return.

  What could be improved: Overall, our experience at the accommodation was positive, but there were a few areas that could be improved. Firstly, we noticed a significant price difference the following week, which left us feeling a bit disappointed considering the amount we paid. Additionally, the absence of an electric toaster was inconvenient, though we appreciate the team's prompt response and that there was a toastie maker in the kitchen.
  
  We also missed having a BBQ for cooking outside, which would have enhanced our stay, especially during warmer months. Another improvement would be the addition of air conditioning, as the bedroom became uncomfortably warm during our stay in mid-March. We can only imagine it would be challenging to cope with the heat during the hotter months of June, July, and August.
  
  Despite these shortcomings, we did enjoy our time at the accommodation and appreciate the efforts of the team to address our concerns. With a few adjustments, it could become an even more desirable place to stay would I return Yes if the price was right.

  De locatie was fantastisch. Een rustig dorp, met genoeg supermarkten en restaurants op loopafstand. Het appartement zelf was prima. Het zwembad is groot, maar was in februari nog wel fris.
