You’re about a five-minute walk from El Médano’s windsurfing madness, but when you want to escape the constant sound of kite lines snapping in the wind, you’ve got this surprisingly sophisticated retreat.

The suites themselves feel properly thought out – not just hotel rooms with a kitchenette thrown in as an afterthought. I’m talking about actual living spaces where you can spread out your sandy beach gear without feeling like you’re camping in a closet. The 9.7 rating makes sense once you realize they’ve nailed the little things that most places overlook. Like, there’s actually decent water pressure in the shower (crucial after those long beach days), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train. The whole place has this clean, modern vibe without being sterile – sort of like staying in a friend’s well-appointed apartment rather than a typical tourist trap.

What really sold me on the location was discovering that you’re basically equidistant from two completely different Tenerife experiences. Head toward the airport and you hit the dramatic black sand beaches that everyone posts on Instagram – La Tejita beach is literally a ten-minute walk and it’s one of those spots where locals actually hang out. But drive fifteen minutes the other way and you’re in the surfer hub of El Médano, where the restaurants stay open late and there’s always something happening. The staff – and this is where that 4-star rating shows – actually know this stuff. They’re not just handing you generic tourist maps; they’ll tell you which chiringuito has the best fish of the day or when the wind picks up for the windsurfers.

Honestly, the only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re expecting resort-style amenities, this isn’t that kind of place. There’s no massive pool complex or organized activities, but I actually preferred it that way. It felt more like having a proper base to explore from rather than being trapped in some all-inclusive bubble. The parking situation is straightforward – always a relief when you’re dealing with rental cars and unfamiliar streets. And check-in was refreshingly efficient; none of that drawn-out sales pitch about excursions and timeshares that you get at some places. They just handed over the keys and gave genuinely helpful local tips. For the price point and that location between the beach and the airport, it’s exactly what you want when you’re trying to actually experience Tenerife rather than just survive it.

  Lovely modern apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Pool is fabulous and having the padel court was a fun addition.

  We had a perfect stay at this apartment in La Tejita. The place is completely new, modern and beautifully furnished. It’s spacious and the interior is very functional and of excellent quality The kitchen is fully equipped, the place was very clean.
  The balcony is large and great for relaxing. There is a beautiful pool and a padel/tennis court, a private parking and lifts. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the beach and right next to a snall commercial center with restaurants and a supermarket.
  We truly felt at home and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended.
