The thing about this place is that it gets the basics really right, which honestly counts for a lot when you’re dealing with those intense Canary Island afternoons. The pool area is where you’ll probably spend most of your time – it’s not huge, but it’s perfectly adequate and actually stays clean (I mean, you’d be surprised how many 3-star places struggle with pool maintenance). The air conditioning works properly too, which… well, let’s just say I’ve learned not to take that for granted in Spain. You can actually sleep without sweating through the sheets, and after a day exploring the volcanic landscapes around Arona, that’s pretty much all you need from life.

What I really appreciate is the location on Calle Minerva – it’s residential enough that you’re not dealing with tourist chaos, but you’re still walkable to the main drag. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel where you’ll see locals going about their business, kids playing in the street in the evenings, that sort of thing. There’s a little supermarket about two blocks down where you can grab basics without paying resort prices, and honestly, the woman who runs it makes better coffee than most hotel lobbies. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which anyone who’s driven around Tenerife will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

The rooms themselves are… well, they’re clean and functional. Nothing fancy, but the beds are comfortable enough and there’s actually decent water pressure in the shower. I stayed during late summer when half the island was packed with families, and while you could hear some noise from other rooms, it wasn’t the kind of thing that kept you awake. The staff seems genuinely helpful too – not in that overly rehearsed hospitality way, more like they actually want to make sure you’re not having a terrible time. They helped me figure out the bus routes to Teide National Park, which saved me probably fifty euros in taxi fees.

Here’s the thing – if you’re looking for Instagram-worthy infinity pools and marble bathrooms, this isn’t your spot. But if you want a place that delivers on its promises without any pretense, where you can actually relax without breaking the bank, Alondras GREEN does exactly what it says on the tin. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need, especially when you’re more interested in exploring the island than hanging around your hotel room anyway.
