Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places along the Canary Islands, but Aguamarina 433 honestly surprised me in the best way possible. You know what struck me first? The elevator ride up to the fourth floor – there’s this moment when you catch a glimpse of the ocean through the hallway window, and you realize you’re about to stay somewhere pretty special. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room, which I mean, makes sense since it’s basically a residential building that happens to rent to travelers.

The location on Avenida del Atlántico is actually perfect if you want to be near the coast without dealing with the tourist circus that Las Américas can become. San Miguel de Abona isn’t where most people think to stay – it’s sort of this quiet local area that feels authentically Canarian. You’re close enough to the airport (maybe 10 minutes by car) that you’re not stressed about flights, but far enough that you don’t hear planes constantly. The beach access is what really sold me though – there’s this little path down to the water that the locals use, and honestly, some afternoons you’ll have stretches of black sand practically to yourself. The apartment’s balcony faces the right direction too, so you get these incredible sunset views that change color every few minutes.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – the building seems well-insulated, and since it’s residential, there’s no party crowd stumbling around the hallways at 2 AM. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to cook (and you should, because the local market has amazing fresh fish), and there’s decent WiFi throughout. Parking was easier than I expected too – there’s usually space on the street, though weekends can get a bit tighter. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days; it’s one of those places where the small details just work. The shower has proper water pressure, the AC doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and someone clearly thought about things like having enough outlets and decent lighting. It’s not fancy in a flashy way, but it’s comfortable in that lived-in sense that makes you want to extend your stay. If you’re looking for a base to explore Tenerife’s south without the resort scene, this spot hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  Great location for us. The apartment was very clean and very secure. Very well appointed with some books, dvds and TV had UK channels. Everything you could need was in this apartment.

  Lovely apartment very clean, comfy, had everything we needed. Well equipped and spacious terrace. Lovely pool area and all very quiet at this time of year. Ideal for us and we did not mind that we were in the landing zone, as the airport was only 10 minutes away. This did not disturb us at all and should not spoil anyone;s holiday. The host communicated with us several times and could not do enough for us, so all in all great holiday.

  very nice lounge and bedroom.
  kitchen and bathroom were big enough for holiday use.
  good location not far from the sea and also close to local supermarket ( corivan ) and Irish pub ( the wild geese ).
  there was also a private outdoor garden where we could eat dinner… that was nice.
  overall very clean and good value for money .
