You know what struck me first about this place? The name is absolutely terrible – “651 Bright establishment, heated pool and Wi Fi” sounds like someone fed hotel amenities into a random generator – but honestly, don’t let that put you off because this little gem on Avenida San Francisco is actually solid gold for the price point.

I mean, Los Cristianos gets a bad rap from people who think it’s just another touristy beach town, but this spot sits right in the sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to Playa de Los Cristianos (maybe eight minutes if you’re not rushing) without being smack in the middle of all the British pub chaos. The heated pool was my saving grace during a surprisingly chilly March visit – and I’m talking actually heated, not that lukewarm nonsense you get at some places. There’s something really satisfying about floating around while you can see the ocean in the distance, especially in the early morning when most of the other guests are still sleeping off their sangria from the night before. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building too, which I know sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places in this area still have dead zones in the rooms.

What really sold me though was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the area – not just the tourist trap restaurants but the little bakery down toward the port where locals grab their morning coffee, or which buses actually run on time to get you up to Teide if you’re feeling adventurous. The woman at reception (I think her name was Carmen?) drew me a little map showing the back streets to avoid the main tourist crowds, which honestly made my whole week better. The rooms themselves are nothing fancy – think clean and functional rather than Instagram-worthy – but the beds are surprisingly comfortable and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, which is more than I can say for the last place I stayed in Tenerife. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle since you’re right in the town center, but there’s a public lot about two blocks away that’s way cheaper than most hotel parking anyway. The only real downside is that Saturday nights can get a bit noisy with people heading to and from the bars, but honestly, if you’re the type who goes to bed at 9 PM in a Spanish beach town, you might be doing it wrong anyway.

  Everything was wonderful from getting met by Bella and showing me around the apartment and explaining everything. Good location shops bars and restaurants with in walking distance.
  The apartment was big clean and spacious with a nice little balcony.
  I'd gladly recommend 651 to my friends and will be back soon.

  What could be improved: Had to wait 45 minutes for lady to arrive with keys.
  TV didn’t work and no knives apart from large and serrated knives. Took a week for our complaint to be acknowledged. TV mended but never received knives. No tea towel. Kitchen area poorly designed.
  Appalled that we had to pay for use of the sun beds! Pool was 19C when we arrived but did rise to 23C towards the end of our stay.

  What could be improved: I had an incredibly disappointing stay at this residence. The broken door was a major security concern, leaving me feeling unsafe throughout my visit. Shockingly, the property management refused to allow a cancellation, despite this glaring issue.
  
  Additionally, the constant smell of smoke and weed from neighboring units made it impossible to get a good night's sleep even with the window open. It was an utterly unpleasant experience.
  
  To make matters worse, the state of the couch was appalling. It was so dirty that I couldn't even bring myself to sit on it.
  
  This was by far my worst booking experience on any platform. I strongly advise against staying at this residence.

  What could be improved: Wi-Fi no, es de pago. El pool también es de pago (2€), no es caro, pero se ve raro si lees el nombre de esta oferta en Booking, y si no me equivoco, no pone en ningún lado que sea de pago.

  Apartamento amplio y bien equipado con todo lo necesario. Muy limpio. Con wifi propia además de la del complejo. La ubicación está bastante bien con restaurantes y zonas de ocio lo suficientemente cerca como para ir a pie y lo suficientemente lejos como para no oir ruidos, el complejo en general es bastante tranquilo. Cuenta con aparcamientos y además en la zona es bastante fácil aparcar. La persona que nos entregó las llaves muy amable y cordial.
  
  What could be improved: Por poner un pero, el mando de la tele era un mando universal y dejó de funcionar al poco de encenderla, supongo que por perdida de la sincronización.
