You know what really surprised me about this place on Calle Sierra Nevada? It’s actually tucked away in this quiet residential pocket of Los Cristianos that most tourists never stumble across – I mean, everyone’s usually rushing straight to the beach promenade or crowding around the main strip. But honestly, that’s exactly why this one-bedroom at Port Royal works so well.

The apartment itself feels properly lived-in, not like those sterile hotel rooms where you’re afraid to touch anything. The pool area became my morning ritual – it’s this decent-sized shared space where you’ll catch a few other guests, mostly couples who seem to know the drill about snagging the good loungers before 10am. The whole complex has this sort of mature, established vibe… well-maintained but not flashy, if that makes sense. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets in the evenings – you’re far enough from the main tourist chaos but still an easy 10-minute walk to the harbor area where all the good fish restaurants are. And parking, which nobody talks about until you need it, is actually manageable around here unlike closer to the beach where it’s a proper nightmare.

The bedroom’s got this nice cross-breeze thing going on (thank god, because even with the AC, you want that natural air flow), and the little kitchen is honestly better equipped than I expected. I mean, you’re not going to be hosting dinner parties, but for morning coffee and the occasional simple meal, it does the job. What struck me most was how the whole setup just works for the way people actually vacation – you’ve got your own space to decompress, but you’re still connected to what makes Los Cristianos special. The walk down to the main beach takes maybe 15 minutes if you’re strolling, and there’s this little supermarket on the way that locals use, not just tourists grabbing overpriced sunscreen. Actually, the woman who runs it started recognizing me by day three and would ask about my plans – that’s the kind of neighborhood feel you don’t get in the big resort complexes. The rating makes sense too; it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does really well. Perfect for people who want that home-base feeling without being stuck in the middle of nowhere.

  Location was perfect with so nice overwiew on the area.
  
  What could be improved: There was an oven in the kitchen but without plate inside , so there was no way to use the oven, as no item to put food on.
  Knifes wasn't too sharp and amount of spoons/forks etc. wasn't sufficient for 4 people.
  Cleaner can do better work under the bed as it looks like hoover is not going there too ofter:)
  To summarise: so small inwestment and attention is needed to make guests happy unless you travel with above mentioned items:)

  The people were lovely, the apartment was perfect, however the pool was closed on day 2 for maintenance. While I didn't mind, my kids were devastated, wish we had known this in advance.
  
  What could be improved: The pool closed on day 2. My kids love the pool and would have spent most of their time in it. No alternative pool, no advance notice. Wish we had known, we wouldn't have booked.

  What could be improved: Super rude management! Start from check in! The person who was given a key from apartments late the normal check in time for about 15-20 min and asked me to pay 20 euro for that!!! I said NO as you late not me. Super noisy neighbours!!! U can hear when they use a toilet !!! Worst ever experience in Tenerife!!! On the end they complain to booking.com for linen damage and as to pay 60eur. Absolutely disgusting!!! Not recommended this property at all. Very small property and totally suitable for more than two people!

  Apartamentul a fost exact ca cel din poze, curat, confortabil. Patul si canapeaua extensibila au fost foarte comode. Totul a fost conform descrierii. Bucataria este exhipata foarte bine, dar nu ar strica si o tava pentru cuptor. 🙂

  Siamo stati qui 5 giorni prima di imbarcarci sulla crociera! Appartamento accogliente al piano terra, pulito! Cucina grande e vicino al centro!
